- Field Groups are the student’s core group for their time at Nature’s Classroom. Field Groups are generally 12-16 students and are arranged by their school’s teachers prior to arrival. Field Groups hike, eat, and participate in team building and other activities together. During Field Group Hikes students learn about everything they find out on the trails, including: plant/tree identification, rock identification, geology, local history, environmental ethics, and more!
- Classes are experiential activities that focus on various academic subjects. The school’s teachers select the classes from the Nature’s Classroom curriculum that they would like offered during their program.
- Evening Activities may include the entire group or just the field group, but each evening is finished with the whole group around the campfire. The school’s teachers select an activity for each evening from the Nature’s Classroom curriculum that they would like offered during their program.
- Large Group Activities can be substituted for Field Group or Class times at no extra charge (does not include Adventure Program Options). The school’s teachers can choose to select one or more Large Group activities that they would like offered during their program.
